About LifeHaven
LifeHaven is a family-style home on the east side of Saint Paul that provides housing and support to 16-17 year old mothers and their children, who are experiencing homelessness. Mothers attend regular parenting and life-skills classes, meet one-on-one with a case manager, and engage in fun and enriching activities. LifeHaven also accepts expecting mothers in their third trimester.
While at LifeHaven, young moms have the opportunity to be fully engaged in school, learn life and parenting skills, and prepare for the next steps in their lives. LifeHaven provides opportunities for youth to develop skills related to:

HOW
Ava's Story
"After noticing some behavior and mood changes in my 12 year old that we're starting to affect the family, I knew we needed to make some changes. After talking with Dr. Gina we scanned my daughter to see what areas we needed to focus on, came up with a treatment plan and talked about some dietary changes that would help as well. After only 2 weeks we are noticing positive changes and are very happy with the results so far."
Chloe's Story
After experiencing involuntary muscle contractions (also known as Dystonia) so intense it resulted in Chloe passing out, Chloe's parents brought her in seeking answers when her MRI, CT, and bloodwork all came back normal.
Her neurological scans showed dysfunction and stress in her nervous system.
That stress and dysfunction was blocking communication between Chloe's brain and the rest of her body, resulting in trouble sleeping, mood challenges, and episodes of muscle contractions.
After working out the stress in her nervous system through adjustments, Chloe is experiencing no involuntary muscle contractions and she's sleeping better! She is also seeing an improvement in her mood, gut health, no headaches, and immune function!
Katie's VBAC
After having a c-section with her first child, Katie was set on having a VBAC with her second child. When she found out that baby was breech she knew she had a very short time to flip baby, so she came in ASAP!
After baby flipped, she was able to turn her focus on making the birth plan of her dreams to ensure she had the birthing experience she wanted. Here are her words to Health 1st after she delivered baby: “I wanted to let you and your team know that Olivia made her arrival via a SUCCESSFUL VBAC! The delivery was everything that I wanted and more! … I’m doing pretty well in my recovery and I’m just SO STINKING PROUD of myself! I couldn’t be more pleased with her birthing experience and know that chiropractic played a big role in everything”
Our hearts nearly exploded with so much happiness and we were also so proud of her! Katie continues wellness care into her postpartum and has baby Olivia under care as well!
