2024 Reflections: Lessons and Wins - Dr. Gina

On this final day of 2024, I find myself, like many of you, ready to bid farewell to a year that has been equally challenging and enlightening. This year brought its share of obstacles—moments that tested my patience, strength, and resolve. But as I reflect, I can say with deep gratitude that each experience, no matter how difficult, taught me something valuable.

There’s something uniquely special about this time of year. It’s a moment to pause, reflect, and truly take stock of what worked and what didn’t. For me, I’ve found clarity by looking through a few key lenses:

  • Romantic and Friendship Relationships: Were they nurturing, fulfilling, and reciprocal? Who do I need to bring into the next year? Who do I need to let go of?

  • Spiritual and Emotional Health: Did I honor my values and create space for growth? What do I need to set in place to ensure peace next year?

  • Health and Wellness: Was I consistent in prioritizing my physical and mental well-being? What fitness and nutritional intentions will I set for next year? Who do I need to help?

  • Financial Goals: Did my spending and saving habits align with my goals? Where can I make cuts and create a budget?

  • Career and Business: How did I show up, and what opportunities did I seize—or miss?

This year was packed with incredible memories, like traveling to Charleston, Savannah, and Palm Springs—each city offering its own charm and magic. I also got to sing my heart out at some of my favorite concerts, including Morgan Wallen and Jon Pardi, making for unforgettable nights filled with music and joy. On top of it all, I pushed myself to new limits by successfully completing the 75 Hard Challenge, proving just how strong and determined I can be.

2024 highlighted areas where I strayed from my core values, often losing myself in the demands of life and relationships. But these realizations have fueled my excitement for 2025, a year I plan to approach with renewed intention and focus.

As I turn 45, my word for the year is ME. I’m making myself a priority—reconnecting with what lights me up and embracing the adventures ahead. I’m already looking forward to amazing travel experiences, expanding my knowledge to grow as a chiropractor, and, most importantly, becoming the best version of myself.

Here’s to a fresh start, filled with intention, growth, and the promise of a new chapter. Goodbye, 2024—you won’t be missed, but I’ll carry your lessons forward.

2024 in the rearview - Brittany

This year was one of deep reflection and growth, though it was not without struggle. I faced moments of uncertainty and heartbreak, especially as plans to move back to California

and reconnect with my family didn’t work out. The disappointment weighed heavy, and I

often found myself grappling with depression and loneliness. Through it all my son

remained my bright light, and the time we spent together reminded me of the joy and

purpose in motherhood, even during the hardest days. I also grew deeper in my faith and

became better at surrendering to God and leaning on Jesus.

Despite the challenges, I discovered more about myself this year than ever before. I leaned

into the things that kept me grounded, and jiujitsu became more than just a workout- it

became a source of strength and a way to challenge both my body and my mind. Each roll

on the mat pushed me to confront my limits and grow past them, mirroring the resilience I

cultivated in my personal life. Recent pain and swelling in my knee has me nervous for

what the future holds and hopeful Softwave can help! While it wasn’t the year I hoped for, it

brought lessons in perseverance, self-awareness, and a quiet resolve to keep moving

forward.

Reflecting on the Year Gone By - Laura

This year began with a series of unforgettable celebrations—from earning my Bachelor’s in Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin – River Falls to traveling halfway across the world to be part of my sister’s beautiful wedding in Scotland. Experiencing a new culture and landscape was incredibly enriching, and it’s left me eager to plan more adventures in the future.

Reflecting on this year, I’ve learned so much about myself. Whether it was achieving milestones like graduating or embracing unforgettable experiences like travelling to Scotland, every moment has been a reminder of how important it is to cherish the people and places that bring joy.

I’m excited to see what the future holds and am committed to continuing my journey of personal growth, embracing new opportunities, and creating lasting memories with my loved ones.

I am excited to get to know all of you better in the new year! Here’s to a bright and fulfilling 2025!

Looking Back on 2024 - Brandon

This year was a bit of a toughie, challenging who I am in ways I never expected. Life threw curveballs, but I came out stronger, learning more about myself with every hurdle. There were plenty of times I said to myself "Hey there life, doesn't this seem like a bit much?" but at the end of the day all the stresses of the year helped shape me into a better person who is even one step closer to his goals.

It wasn’t all hard, though. There were plenty of amazing moments that made it all worthwhile. I embraced changes and created memories I’ll carry with me forever. I was able to welcome new members into my family, lock down a great apartment with an even greater friend, and spend time with the people I cared about the most, I consider that worth it all.

Here's to another great year, we can't wait to share it with you all.

Brandon

Now, as we turn the page to a new year, let’s carry forward the lessons we’ve learned and the momentum we’ve built. Together, we’ll embrace the opportunities, tackle the challenges, and create even more incredible moments.

Here’s to us, to growth, and to another amazing year ahead. Cheers to what’s next!
